Arsenal will be hoping that Houssem Aouar’s relationship with Alexandre Lacazette will boost their chances of signing the player.
The Mirror claims that the pair were close friends during the striker’s time in France and that could help the Gunners clinch a deal.
Speaking about the Arsenal striker, Aouar said:
I was lucky, I got a lot of help. Alexandre Lacazette took me under his wing. Alex talked to me a lot, pointed out the stuff I needed to work on, notably my finishing. We worked a lot on that.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City have all been linked with moves to sign the Frenchman as he continues to impress in Ligue 1.

Recent reports have suggested that Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri is eager to bring him into his midfield, while Arsenal scouts have also been keeping a close eye on him for some time.
Despite his tender age, the 20-year-old is highly rated in France and is being tipped to make a big-money move in the near future.
Spanish giants Barcelona are also reportedly admirers of the player and could enter the race to sign him in the summer.
Lyon are hopeful about keeping hold of the midfielder in January, but the situation could change in the summer.
