Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has expressed an interest in managing Bayern Munich, report the Telegraph.
There are serious question marks surrounding the future of current Bayern boss Niko Novac, following another disappointing result at the weekend.
The Bundesliga champions drew 3-3 at home to Fortuna Dusseldorf on Saturday, leaving them fifth in the table.
Wenger has stated that he wants to return to management in 2019, having been out of work since leaving Arsenal at the end of last season.

Retirement has never been part of the Frenchman’s plan moving forward and the Bayern job could become vacant sooner rather than later.
Wenger is thought to want an appointment that has a good chance of landing meaningful silverware at the top level.
It would be seen as a risk if Bayern did acquire his services, should Kovac be relieved of his duties, with Wenger’s final years at Arsenal often much criticised.
It is clear that he is hungry for another challenger, however, and some time away from the game may have given him a new lease of life.
