Arsenal will reportedly act on their interest in Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira and have already opened discussions over a potential transfer.
The 22-year-old’s future at Old Trafford has come under intense scrutiny in recent times and with his contract at the club expiring at the end of the season, speculation over his next destination has begun.
Unai Emery’s side have been linked with a move for the Brazilian international and according to a report from UOL Esporte, the club have moved ahead to negotiate a deal for Pereira.
The young playmaker has caught the eye on many occasions and is capable of playing in a number of roles. He has operated in a deep-lying midfield position under Jose Mourinho at times but also has experience of playing as a right-winger.
Arsenal will be faced by the likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain in their pursuit of Pereira, however, with UOL reporting that the race for his signature is heating up ahead of the January transfer window.
