Arsenal have extended their unbeaten run to 17 after a hard-fought victory at Bournemouth on Sunday.
An own goal from Jefferson Lerma put the visitors in front before Josh King equalised for Bournemouth in the final seconds of the first half. Arsenal dominated much of the second half, which paid off when Aubameyang scored the winning goal and his 10th of the season.
It was a deserved victory in the end, which takes Arsenal within one point off the top four.
Here are our player ratings for Arsenal…
Bernd Leno: 6
The goalkeeper couldn’t have done much to prevent the goal. Some strong catches and a brave save at the end topped off a solid performance.
Hector Bellerin: 5
A persistent threat going forward, but was slow getting back for the Bournemouth goal
Sokratis Papastathopoulos: 6
A shaky first half and a booking, but the defender had a solid performance in the second with many strong tackles and clearances.
Shkodran Mustafi: 5
Struggled in the first half, better in the second. A late foul on Wilson presented danger in the last seconds of the game.
Rob Holding: 6
Similar first half struggles as Mustafi and Sokratis, decent in the second.
Saed Kolasinac: 6
The wing-back’s cross led to the own goal, before assisting Aubameyang for the winner, but struggled defensively throughout.
Lucas Torreira: 7
Very solid throughout again. Regained ball in attacking positions, and passed well.
Granit Xhaka: 6
Solid performance without standing out much.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan: 5
Struggled with the end product and passed poorly at times. However, he was lively and kept plugging away.
Alex Iwobi: 7
Very lively throughout and played a crucial part in Arsenal’s winning goal
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: 7
A very quiet first half overshadowed by a strong second half. Scored the winner and set up Mkhitaryan, who missed a decent opportunity.
Came on to the pitch late on. Helped out defensively and retained the ball well.
Also entered the game late on. Didn’t have much chance to make a difference, but relieved pressure and shown some nice touches.
