# Villarreal not willing to negotiate Fornals exit to Arsenal

Villarreal are not willing to negotiate an exit for Arsenal transfer target Pablo Fornals in January.

[According to Sport, via Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/arsenals-january-offer-need-double-club-respond-claims-emery-swoop/), Villarreal are not prepared to sell Fornals in the next transfer window and will not be speaking to Arsenal about a sale.

The report claims that his release clause is €40m, with Villarreal not willing to budge on that valuation of the midfielder.

Arsenal are thought to be very keen on signing Fornals as a replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who is set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Fornals has been impressing in La Liga for Villarreal this season and has been capped once by Spain this year.

The 22-year-old is one of the most promising midfielders in Europe at the moment and Arsenal have been eyeing him as a potential signing.

However, this latest report from Sport seems to rule out a January switch to The Emirates for Fornals.
