Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in a January deal to sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona.
According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, both Arsenal and Roma are interested in the player.
Suarez is ready to leave the Nou Camp in January after growing frustrated with life on the sidelines.
The Spanish reports claim that Arsenal and Roma have ‘moved’ towards a deal after learning of the player’s desire to move on in the coming months.
Suarez is a player that Unai Emery knows very well, having worked with the Spaniard previously.
The midfielder is very highly rated in La Liga but has been unable to force his way into Barcelona’s side.
With Aaron Ramsey set to leave the Emirates at the end of his deal, the Gunners are in the market for a replacement and appear to be keen on bringing the Spanish midfield maestro to the Premier League.
