Arsenal are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Julian Weigl from Borussia Dortmund.
Sport Bild are reporting that Sven Mislintat is keen to bring the highly-rated German to the club.
Weigl has been heavily linked with moves away from Dortmund in recent years, but no deal has ever materialised.
Manchester City were previously among his admirers, with Pep Guardiola aware of the player’s huge potential.
Weigl was previously regarded as one of Dortmund’s brightest prospects but has played less of a starring role this season under Lucien Favre.
The form of summer signing Axel Witsel has seen the player fall further down the pecking order with the Bundesliga leaders.
The links to Arsenal come as no surprise following Mislintat’s work since arriving from Dortmund.
The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sokratis and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all have connections with the Bundesliga side.
