Arsenal and Real Madrid will reportedly face competition from Bayern Munich in their respective pursuits of Espanyol defender Mario Hermoso.
In recent times, the Gunners have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, who has been in impressive form for his side in the opening stages of the La Liga season.
Hermoso’s displays have earned him a place in Luis Enrique’s Spain squad this term and he has since made his first-ever appearance for the national team at senior level.
The central defender’s performances have not gone unnoticed this season and, as such, prestigious European clubs are said to have expressed an interest in signing him.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Bundesliga giants Bayern have entered the race to secure Hermoso’s signature ahead of the January transfer window.
Arsenal are understood to be on the lookout for potential recruits in central defence, with Unai Emery’s side failing to convince at the back this season.
From 12 La Liga starts, Hermoso has found the net on two occasions for Espanyol.
