Matteo Guendouzi reveals the key to Arsenal’s good form

Matteo Guendouzi has hailed the “togetherness” within the Arsenal squad as the reason for their impressive run of form.

The Gunners are unbeaten in 16 matches dating back to August, with Unai Emery impressing immediately as manager.

Guendouzi has settled in quickly in north London since joining from Lorient in the summer, and in an interview with Foot Mercato, the 19-year-old lauded the team spirit at the club:

I’m very happy about my start.

After that, the most important for me is the team, we’re on a good run of 15 or 16 games without a loss, which is something we need to continue on.

We’ve drawn the last three games in the league, but we’re a very solid team, and I hope we can do great things.

There’s a really good togetherness in the group, and that’s why we’ve made a good start to the season.

It really is everyone together. There’s no specific groups, and it shows on the pitch.

Up next for Arsenal is a trip to Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon – the first game in a busy run of fixtures.

The togetherness that Guendouzi mentions is going to be so important during that time, as Emery’s side look to remain in the title race and push on in the cup competitions.
