Croatian goalkeeper Kalinic linked with surprise Arsenal move

Gent goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic is being linked with a surprise move to join Arsenal, but the Gunners will face competition from Palace, Spurs and Watford.

Reports in Italy have suggested that the Gent player could be on his way to the Premier League in the near future.

Kalinic, who was in action against England at Wembley in their dramatic UEFA Nations League victory, is under contract with the Belgian side until 2021, but they could be given the chance to cash in on the player with Premier League interest rising.

The player has long been linked with a move to England, having come close to joining Aston Villa back in 2016.

Fellow Premier League side Watford are also said to be tabs on the Kalinic’s situation.

Kalinic could be seen as a potential replacement for Petr Cech, who is reaching the latter stages of his career.

The former Chelsea man has fallen out of favour in London following the summer arrival of Bernd Leno.
