Miguel Almiron’s agent was in England over the weekend watching Newcastle United’s win over Bournemouth, following rumours of a move to the Premier League for his client.
Almiron’s agent Daniel Campos has reportedly confirmed to Paraguayan radio station Futbol a lo Grande, as cited on HITC, that he was in the country taking in a Premier League game.
The Atlanta midfielder is being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in January, with Arsenal and Newcastle both credited with an interest in signing the player.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with the player with some suggestions that a deal had been agreed for the January window.
Almiron is said to be on the list of potential replacements for Aaron Ramsey, who is set to leave the Emirates in the near future.
The playmaker has impressed in the MLS and the Gunners now look set to face a fight in the race to sign him during the new year.
