Arsenal and Manchester City keen to sign Junior Firpo
Arsenal and Manchester City are both believed to be interested in signing Real Betis defender Junior Firpo.
According to reports from AS, as cited on Calciomercato, the Premier League duo are both keen to sign the defender from the La Liga side.
Firpo, who is under contract until 2023, boasts a €50 million release clause at Betis, meaning that he will not come cheaply if either club does want to pursue a deal.
The Spanish youth international has been impressing in La Liga this season, with his performances not going unnoticed.
The left-back position is an area that the Gunners are looking to strengthen, with neither Nacho Monreal or Sead Kolasinac getting any younger.
The former was linked with a return to Spain during the summer but Arsenal opted against selling the player, however, there is an acceptance that Unai Emery will need to address the situation sooner rather than later.
