Arsenal told to spend €50million to sign Cengiz Under

Arsenal have been informed that they will need to spend at least €50million to bring in Roma winger Cengiz Under.

According to Calciomercato, the Giallorossi will not allow their highly thought of star to leave on the cheap, amid interest from a host of clubs.

The Gunners are one of those thought to be keeping a close eye on Under, as Unai Emery searches for more attacking reinforcements.

Although Arsenal have purred in attack so far this season, question marks have surrounded the level of depth in that area, with many of the opinion that upgrades are required.

Danny Welbeck’s serious injury in Thursday’s 0-0 draw at home to Sporting Lisbon has only further highlighted the need for additions.

If Arsenal do make a bid for Under, they are certain to have competition, with many European powerhouses tracking his progress.

Some of that competition may come from across north London, with Tottenham reportedly in the mix to bring in the 21-year-old.

Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also eyeing up some fresh blood in attacking areas and Under is being considered.

Recent reports in ESPN have claimed the Turkey international is keen on a move to the Premier League at the end of the season, leaving Arsenal and Spurs in a potentially strong position.

Under has scored three goals in 10 appearances in 2018/19 and played a part in Roma reaching last season’s Champions League semi-finals.
