Arsenal-linked Malcom not considering Barca exit

Arsenal had been linked with a January swoop for Malcom but the promising Brazilian attacker has refuted claims that he will leave Barcelona in the near future.

Malcom has struggled to impose himself on proceedings following his £36.5 million move to Barcelona from Bordeaux in the summer transfer window.

This prompted speculation surrounding his future, with suggestions made that Arsenal were among several clubs to have expressed an interest in signing him ahead of the January transfer window.

Malcom has since broken his silence over the reports linking him with a move away and has emphatically denied these claims. As quoted by Goal, the winger said:

That is fake information and it will not break my confidence. Scoring a goal for Barcelona right after that [the rumours] was important for my confidence and I’m sure I can do much more to help the club.

The 21-year-old has not started a single game for Barcelona yet this season but was able to contribute with his first goal for the club in midweek.

Malcom came off the bench to help Barcelona snatch a point against Inter Milan in the Champions League group stages.
