Pepe delighted to be linked with Arsenal move

Lille winger Nicolas Pepe has expressed his delight after hearing of rumours of a potential move to Arsenal.

Speaking about his future, as reported by the London Evening Standard, Pepe was coy when asked about a move away from the Ligue 1 side in the near future.

Despite playing down interest, the winger revealed he was pleased to learn of interest from top European sides.

A preference between Dortmund, Bayern or Arsenal? They’re all big clubs, I was not aware of these rumours, although it’s nice. Leave Lille at the end of the season? We do not even know what I’ll be doing tomorrow!

Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have all been linked with big-money moves to sign the player recently.

Lille, who are said to value the player at close to €50 million, will be desperate to keep hold of the winger for as long as possible.

Pepe’s eight goals and seven assists have not gone unnoticed around Europe, with interest in his services rising.

Should the Ivorian continue in this vein of form, Lille will undoubtedly struggle to keep hold of the player for much longer.
