African billionaire may look elsewhere if Kroenke refuses to sell

African billionaire Aliko Dangote has revealed that he may look to buy another club if Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke continues to refuse to sell the club, according to a report on Football London.

Dangote is a passionate Arsenal fan and has never hidden his desire to take over the club.

The Nigerian is Africa’s richest man and is worth a reported £8.5bn. In July this year, he said that he will make a move to take over the Gunners but Kroenke doesn’t look like he is ready to sell.

Dangote also commented about buying the club in 2017, where he claimed he would be able to convince Kroenke to sell. He has now revealed that he may be forced to look elsewhere. He said:

I’m very attached to Arsenal but if he won’t sell, I might have to change. I’m very much a fan of football. I’ll like to have a club. I don’t have to own Arsenal.

By the time we’ve finished [the oil refinery], we’ll be a $30bn [£22.8bn] company in terms of revenue.
