Inter Milan are making significant efforts to sign reported Arsenal target Hector Herrera, according to claims from Italian news outlet Calciomercato.
Mexico international Herrera has been linked with a host of clubs from across Europe in recent times, with his contract at FC Porto set to come to an end in June.
This means that Herrera will be able to move on a free transfer in the summer, alerting several potential suitors as they begin their preparations for upcoming transfer windows.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the 28-year-old and according to recent reports, have identified him as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey.
However, if the Gunners are intent on landing Herrera ahead of next season, it seems they’ll be forced to move quickly.
Roma’s interest in the player is highlighted by Calciomercato’s report but Inter are now said to have prepared a firm move to land Herrera on a free transfer in the summer.
