Arsenal boss Unai Emery has encouraged his squad to ‘write a new history’ ahead of their game against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Gunners have had a poor Premier League record against the other ‘Big Six’ clubs in recent years, with Arsenal having won just five in 32 games against Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Emery, who has already lost to Manchester City and Chelsea this season, will be looking to build upon his impressive early season form with a win against the unbeaten Reds.

The game will serve as a litmus test for Emery’s squad, whom Emery have encouraged to step up a gear and write a new history.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s game, Emery said:
We want to write a new history.
With our players, our quality and our capacity, I believe in my players and this project. We are starting this project in a very positive way with what we are doing.
It is a very big test because it is against Liverpool. They are a very good team, an intense team and they require a lot of work for us to battle them. But I believe in our team and our players.
