# Chelsea to drop out of Ramsey race

Chelsea are set to drop out of the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

[According to The Mirror,](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aaron-ramsey-transfer-two-players-13521476) Chelsea are ready to opt against a move for Ramsey, due to the form of their current players.

The report claims that the recent form of Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek has convinced Maurizio Sarri that there is no need for Ramsey at the club next season.

Ramsey is out of contract next summer and Arsenal have told him in person that he will not be offered a new deal.

Reports previously claimed that Chelsea were ready to swoop for the Welshman on a free transfer, but now look prepared to let others fight it out for his signature.

Ramsey has been with Arsenal over 10 years and made over 300 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners.

Juventus and Liverpool are both said to be interested in signing Ramsey.
