# Arsenal target Herrera reportedly agrees terms to join Roma

Arsenal may be set to miss out on Porto’s Hector Herrera, who has reportedly agreed terms to join Roma.

[According to reports in Italy](https://www.football-italia.net/130142/roma-reach-herrera-deal), the man who the Gunners have shortlisted as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey could be on his way to Italy.

Herrera is approaching the end of his contract with the Portuguese side and has been heavily linked with a host of clubs in recent months.

However, it now appears that the Giallorossi have won the race to sign the player on a free transfer.

The report claims that the Serie A side have offered the player a four-year deal to make the move to Italy.

With Ramsey set to depart the club on a free transfer, Herrera had been one of three players reportedly shortlisted by the Gunners to replace him, alongside Nicolo Barella and Miguel Almiron.

Arsenal could still have a chance to seal a deal, with the player unable to officially sign any agreement until January.
