Liverpool to miss midfield duo for Arsenal encounter

Liverpool will be without Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson for Saturday’s tea time clash with Arsenal.

The midfield duo have both sustained hamstring injuries, and have been absent from Jürgen Klopp’s team for a number of games now.

The captain Henderson injured his hamstring during a 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town last month, with Keita feeling the pull in the back of his leg on international duty with Guinea.

With neither Henderson nor Keita having trained on Thursday, it can now be safely assumed the pair will be absent from the team sheet on Saturday evening.

Reds manager Jürgen Klopp will instead have to choose between James Milner, Adam Lallana, Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho, and Xherdan Shaqiri for the game.

Rumours had also suggested Mohamed Salah would miss out after being seen with a cast on his right hand on Wednesday, but a report today claimed the Egyptian would be available for selection.
