Arsenal monitoring Watford star Doucoure

Arsenal are reportedly keeping an eye on Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.

According to a report from Calcio Mercato, the Gunners are watching the 25-year-old with keen interest.

With Aaron Ramsey nearing his Emirates Stadium exit, Unai Emery is in the position of needing to find a replacement.

A capable two-way player, Doucoure would bring a balanced skill-set to North London.

However, Arsenal are not the only team interested in adding the Frenchman to their squads.

Premier League rivals Liverpool are also named in the Calcio Mercato report, with a further article claiming that French champions (and Emery’s former employer) Paris Saint-Germain are keen on the former Rennes star.

New signings Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira have impressed in their early Arsenal careers, but it seems as though the Arsenal recruitment team are eager to bolster their midfield tanks further.

Doucoure has appeared in ten Premier League matches so far this season, and would likely leave Vicarage Road for a hefty fee.
