Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger sees no reason why the Gunners cannot lift the Premier League trophy this season.
Under the management of Unai Emery, the club have started the season brightly, winning seven of their opening 10 games and losing just two.
The bright run of form has sparked discussions of a potential push for the title in Emery’s debut season, despite the Spaniard’s main objective being to guide the club back into the top four.
Wenger, who was speaking to TalkSPORT, as cited on the London Evening Standard, explains why it could be possible.
Why not? When you look at last season at home we won 15, drew two and lost two – it’s away we were not good enough. But overall the quality’s there. They have a chance – but at the moment we have some other teams who look very strong as well.

Manchester City started the season as favourites, with Liverpool expected to push Pep Guardiola’s men close.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea have been surprise packages this season, with many expecting them to be focusing solely on getting back into the top four as they adapt to their new management teams.
