Atlanta’s Miguel Almiron could be about to turn down a move to Arsenal and join Tottenham, according to reports.
According to claims from Paraguayan radio station Futbol A Lo Grande, as cited on the Mirror, Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been installed as favourites for the player’s signature.
The report claims that Tottenham could pay in the region of £22.1 million for the Atlanta man.

Almiron has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League and specifically Arsenal in recent weeks.
Many reports have claimed that the deal was near enough completed, with the MLS playmaker destined to make the move to England.
While the latter could still happen, it would come as a huge blow to Arsenal to miss out on the player to one of their closest rivals.
Spurs themselves are keen to strengthen in the January window after not signing a single senior player during the summer.
