# Ramsey claims he would never join Tottenham

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has ruled out a move to North London rivals Tottenham next summer.

Ramsey has confirmed that he would never leave Arsenal to sign for Tottenham, amid links with other Premier League sides.

A host of top clubs have been linked with Ramsey, with Juventus, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea all interested in the midfielder.

The Welsh international is poised to become a free agent at the end of the season, with his contract due to expire.

Arsenal are unwilling to hand him a new deal, as they look to cut down their wage bill following their failure to qualify for the Champions League last season.

[Speaking to The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6320111/Aaron-Ramsey-says-Arsenal-left-guessing-new-deal.html), Ramsey said this:

> No, I’d never join Tottenham.

> I don’t feel like I’m playing for a contract, I’m going out and playing the way I have always played.

> I try to give my best for the team, help the team and try and go out there and play the best I can for myself as well. Nothing’s in my head when I’m out there.

Ramsey has been with Arsenal 10 years, making over 300 appearances for the club in all competitions.
