Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Sporting Lisbon last night in the Europa League made it 11 games unbeaten for Unai Emery’s side with the feel-good factor now back at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners endured a difficult start to the season with defeats against both Manchester City and Chelsea, however, the club have not looked back with some people suggesting that they could even now challenge for the title following their recent form.
After a very disappointing campaign last year, former Gunners defender Martin Keown has identified the key difference between this side under Emery and last season under Arsene Wenger, as reported by the Daily Mirror.
Their attacking football bears all the hallmarks of Arsene Wenger. What Unai Emery is doing is getting the team to dig deeper in a way Wenger was not able to at the end of his tenure.
Arsenal have become a second-half team of late with their best pieces of play coming after the break including Goal of the Season contenders against Fulham and Leicester recently.
This proves their new-found resilience, with the club able to bounce back from going behind or poor first halves with a much brighter second period.
