Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson is being watched by England manager Gareth Southgate as he considers a senior call-up for the winger.
According to The Daily Mail, Southgate’s attention has been caught by Nelson’s impressive performances for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.
Nelson joined Hoffenheim on a season-long loan from Arsenal in an attempt to find more regular game-time at senior level.
The 18-year-old has had a flying start to life in Germany, with four goals in four Bundesliga appearances this season.
The teen made 16 first-team appearances for Arsenal last season, with only three of them coming in the Premier League.
Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho was called up to England’s last squad, giving Nelson hope that Southgate will give him a chance if he continues to impress for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga this year.
