# Emery not interested in talk of a title challenge

Unai Emery has given his honest assessment of Arsenal’s title hopes this season after an impressive 3-1 victory against Leicester.

[Speaking after the win on Monday night, as reported by TEAMtalk](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/unai-emery-sends-arsenal-title-message-to-man-city-liverpool-and-chelsea), Emery admitted that a title push is not in their sights, despite a stunning attacking performance in the second half against the Foxes.

> The important thing is the next match, the Europa League on Thursday \[Sporting\], and Crystal Palace on Sunday. And we have to keep working to improve in our way and tactically, to find the best performance.

Emery’s side turned on the style after an initial ropey start against Leicester, with Mesut Ozil stealing the headlines with a brilliant induvidual performance.

After missing out on the top four last season, Emery has been tasked with guiding the club back to the Champions League.

Making the top four will come as a huge boost for the club, who have missed out on Europe’s elite competition in recent years.

The Gunners moved to within two points of Manchester City and Liverpool with Monday night’s win.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all locked on 21 points as the race for the top four starts to heat up at this early stage.
