Atlanta’s Miguel Almiron is closing in on a move to Arsenal, with the MLS side planning his replacement, according to reports in the United States.
As cited on Calciomercato, Atlanta are said to be eyeing a move to sign River Plate’s Ignacio Fernandez.
The latter is attracting interest after some impressive performances in Argentina, with Almiron taking a step closer to completing a move to join Arsenal.
The Paraguayan has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal during the January transfer window.

While those close to the MLS side have played down the claims, rumours of a move to London have failed to slow down.
Almiron has impressed during his time at Atlanta and has long been expected to earn a big-money move to Europe following his performances in the MLS.
The player has been struggling with injuries recently, but still appears set to make a move in the coming months.
