Arsenal target Nicolo Barella has claimed that he is proud to have been linked with the club, among other elite sides in Europe.
Manchester United and Liverpool are also said to be interested in Barella, who has been impressing in midfield this year.
Barella is currently plying his trade for Cagliari in the Serie A, where he is quickly earning a good reputation as one of the best young midfielders in the division.

Speaking to Calcio Mercato, via Sport Witness, Barella said this:
I’m not the one who sorts out the transfers. It’s the agents, presidents and clubs who do that. I only think about Cagliari and to stay up in the league. We’ll see about the rest. The interest from big clubs is pleasing, and makes me proud. It means I’m doing the right things.
The 21-year-old has made 83 first-team appearances for Cagliari and been capped twice by Italy at international level – both caps coming this year.
Inter Milan and Juventus have also been touted with interest in the midfielder.
