# Ramsey to miss Wales clash for the birth of his twins

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will miss Wales’ clash with the Republic of Ireland this week with his partner due to give birth to twins.

[The Daily Mail reports](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6277029/Arsenal-star-Aaron-Ramsey-miss-Wales-clash-Republic-Ireland.html) that Ryan Giggs has given the player permission to sit out of the game to be alongside his partner Collen, who is expecting the arrival of their twins later this week.

The Nations League clash takes place on Tuesday night, but Giggs will be without Ramsey.

Wales head into the game off the back of a 4-1 defeat by Spain last week.

Ramsey’s future at Arsenal has been one of the main talking points of the season so far for the Gunners.

The Welsh international is set to leave the club at the end of the season on a free transfer.

Despite entering contract talks, neither party has been able to come to any form of agreement, meaning the Gunners are set to lose another star player for nothing.
