Arsenal have received a transfer blow as AS Roma winger Cengiz Under could be on his way to German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, according to a report on CalcioMercato.

Under’s former president at Altinordu, Mehmet Özkan, believes that the youngster is being closely monitored by the German club.

He said:

Bayern Munich are following him [Under] very closely, and he could leave for an important transfer fee.

The young winger has put in some impressive performances this season and has become a key part of Roma’s attack, alongside fellow youngster Justin Kluivert.

Arsenal have been closely linked with a move for the Turkish international, who only joined Roma last summer for a fee of €14m. Further reports are suggesting that Bayern could be weighing up a €60m offer for Under, which could prove to be too hard to refuse for Roma.

The 21-year-old has one goal and two assists in six Serie A appearances this season.
