Arsenal and Spurs battling it out for Eric Bailly
Arsenal and Tottenham are expected to go head-to-head in the race to sign Manchester United defender Eric Bailly.
The Daily Star reports that both clubs are interested in the Ivorian defender, with his long-term future at Manchester United up in the air.
There are concerns that the defender could be moved on after enduring a rocky relationship with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Bailly, who is said to be becoming ‘increasingly disillusioned’ at the club, has been unable to hold down a regular first-team spot under Mourinho, with the United boss frequently chopping and changing at the back.
Despite a tricky patch at United, Mauricio Pochettino and Unai Emery both remain admirers of the player and could offer him a route out of Manchester.
The report states that it remains unclear if Manchester United would be willing to sell the player to a direct rival at this stage.
