Despite interest from Arsenal, Mashiter claims that Aarons is poised to sign a new contract with Norwich.

The 18-year-old has burst onto the scene in the Championship this season and made ten senior appearances for Norwich – scoring once against Cardiff in the League Cup.

Aarons is an England under-19 international and is able to play at right-back or left-back, showing his versatility.

Arsenal are likely to continue following him for the rest of the season.
