Hakim Ziyech is one the most exciting stars in world football at present, and recent comments by the Moroccan’s agent means Arsenal fans may have reason to get excited.
The 25-year-old impressed with his country at the World Cup in the summer, and has returned to club duty with Ajax in sizzling form.
With four goals and three assists to his name early in the Eredivisie, several clubs had been linked with making a move for Ziyech.
Despite interest from AS Roma, Ziyech’s agent Rene van der Gijp has loftier aspirations for his player.
Quoted in Voetbal Primeur, Van Der Gijp said:
I hope that there will be a better club than Roma – an Arsenal or Liverpool.
With the news that Aaron Ramsey is preparing to leave the club, the news may come at a good time for the Gunners. Despite being a more attacking player traditionally, Ziyech could shoulder some of the duties usually taken by the Welshman.
