# West Ham make new contract offer to Arsenal target Declan Rice

Arsenal and Tottenham are among the clubs that could miss out on the signature of West Ham youngster Declan Rice.

Both clubs are reportedly keeping a close eye on his contract situation at West Ham.

However, [the London Evening Standard reports](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-lay-down-final-contract-offer-to-declan-rice-ready-to-call-off-talks-if-snubbed-a3956031.html?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1538991402) that the Hammers have lodged an improved contract offer after Rice rejected the previous deal.

The deal is now reportedly worth £21,000 per week, which will increase by £5000 after every 15 Premier League games he features in, plus a bonus of £20,000 for every league game in which he starts.

The report claims that the Hammers are prepared to walk away from contract talks if Rice does not accept their final offer.

Rice has already rejected an improved offer from the club, which was believed to be worth around £15,000 a week.

The youngster has impressed this season and is keen to earn himself an improved deal at the club.
