# Lacazette nominated for Premier League Player of the Month

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for September.

[As confirmed by the Premier League’s official website](https://www.premierleague.com/news/868780), Lacazette is among six players who have been nominated for the award after four Premier League fixtures in September.

Willy Boly, James Maddison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling are the other nominees.

The French striker scored two and assisted two in four Premier League games as he played a pivotal role in Arsenal winning all of their fixtures in the month.

Lacazette set up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against Cardiff, before rifling in a second for the Gunners.

He added to that by scoring in a 2-0 win over Everton and setting up Mesut Ozil for the second goal in a 2-0 win over Watford.

Lacazette has scored 20 goals in 47 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions since joining from French side Lyon in the summer of 2017 for – at the time – a club record fee.
