# Iwobi desperate for Ramsey to stay at Arsenal

Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi has insisted that both he, and the rest of his team-mates, want Aaron Ramsey to remain at the club.

The Wales international midfielder has emerged as a top target for a number of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United, following reports that his contract talks at the Emirates Stadium have collapsed.

Ramsey’s current deal with the London club expires next summer, and with Arsenal unlikely to want to let the 27-year old leave for nothing, clubs are beginning to circle in as the January transfer window approaches.

Alternatively, Ramsey could sign a pre-contract agreement in January, allowing him to sign for a club who he would join the following summer.

Despite the situation not looking likely that Ramsey will eventually commit to the club, especially with Arsenal having now withdrawn their contract offer, Iwobi is desperate to see him stay.

Asked whether he would consider Ramsey’s loss a big miss to Arsenal, the Nigeria international told BT Sport, as quoted by the [Metro](https://metro.co.uk/2018/10/05/alex-iwobi-desperate-for-aaron-ramsey-to-stay-at-arsenal-amid-liverpool-chelsea-and-man-utd-transfer-links-8008045/):

> Of course, he’ a great player.

> Especially when I was breaking into the first-team I always used to watch him and learn things from him.

> I’m still doing that today.

> So it would be a great miss if he goes but hopefully he can stay. We all want him to stay. Hopefully it can get sorted.
