# Crystal Palace send scouts to watch Arsenal and Spurs target Herrera

Arsenal and Tottenham look set to face competition from Crystal Palace in the race to sign Hector Herrera.

[Portuguese outlet A Bola, as cited on Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/crystal-palaces-transfer-planning-continues-recruitment-idea-beginning-take-shape/), reports that Palace had scouts watching the Champions League clash and that is not for the first time this season.

Palace also had scouts watching Porto’s recent meeting with Tondela.

The Premier League side appear to have their eyes on a Porto player and Sport Witness hint that it could be Mexican midfielder Hector Herrera.

Herrera is out of contract at the end of the season and has attracted interest from several European clubs.

Tottenham and Arsenal have both been linked with a move to sign the player in the past.

The player will be free to discuss a summer move in the new year, but Porto could decide to cash in on him to avoid losing the player for nothing.
