Arsenal eased to a 3-0 win away at Qarabag in a Europa League group stage outing.
The Gunners headed into the fixture as strong favourites and duly delivered despite Unai Emery’s decision to make several changes to his regular starting line-up.
Arsenal were in dominant mood throughout and took the lead through Sokratis, who netted his first goal at his new club.
It did not take long before Emery’s side were able to double their advantage as promising young talent Emile Smith Rowe found the net. Like Sokratis’ effort, this was the first goal that Smith Rowe has scored for Arsenal at senior level.
The win was capped by Matteo Guendouzi, who also found the net to open his account for the North London club.
