Former Arsenal star Sol Campbell has expressed his concerns regarding Aaron Ramsey’s contractual situation at the club.
Speaking exclusively to the Evening Standard, the ex-England international delivered his verdict on the recent controversy surrounding Ramsey and his position at Arsenal.
The Wales midfielder’s deal at the club expires at the end of the season and reports have recently indicated that the Gunners withdrew a recent contract extension offer.
This could see Ramsey depart in January in a cut-price deal or leave next summer at the end of his contract for free.

Campbell was quick to raise his concerns over Ramsey’s future at the club and urged Arsenal to make a greater effort to ensure that he doesn’t exit the Emirates in the near future.
It is worrying. Rambo’s a fantastic player, a great guy. It’s a shame but it’s a recurring situation at Arsenal. Ozil took a long time (to extend his contract), Sanchez as well and then he went. Ramsey’s a top player, losing him for free would be a mistake.
Ramsey has already been linked with a host of clubs from across Europe but is sure to be keen on focusing on the task at hand with Arsenal, as Unai Emery looks to lead them back into Champions League contention.
