Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck does not appear to be close to putting pen to paper on a new deal at the Emirates.
According to a report from the Mirror, the England international is looking likely to head for the exit door at the end of the season, with no agreement believed to be close regarding a contract extension.
Welbeck sees his current deal in North London come to an end in the summer of 2019, indicating that he will be allowed to leave the club on a free transfer. He will also be able to sign pre-contract agreements with teams outside of Europe in the January transfer window ahead of a move in the summer.

The experienced forward was heavily linked with a departure from Arsenal during the summer transfer window, with Premier League clubs believed to have been closely following his situation.
However, Unai Emery opted to retain the services of Welbeck to ensure that Arsenal had sufficient depth in the attacking areas.
Despite Welbeck’s regular inclusions in Arsenal’s first-team squad in the early stages of the new season, though, it seems he is looking set for a summer exit, with no new deal on the horizon.
