Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is set to be the subject of an offer from Liverpool, after the Merseyside club had an approach for the Welsh star turned down in the summer, as per a report from John Richardson of The Mirror.
Apparently, the Reds enquired about the availability of the 27-year-old in the summer but Arsenal were not willing to sell him as they hoped to get him tied down to a new contract.
However, talks between the Gunners and Ramsey have broken down, meaning he will be a free agent in the summer. As such, Arsenal are looking to sell him in January so they can get a fee for the midfielder, rather than losing him on a free transfer.

Ramsey would prefer to wait until the end of the season to make a move as he would be a free agent and as such, he’d be in a better position to get a much-improved salary and to pick up a big signing-on fee.
Liverpool are expected to make another move for the Welsh star, but they will face competition from AC Milan and Juventus.
However, Richardson reports that Ramsey would be keen to make a move to Anfield as he would like to work under Jurgen Klopp and he feels like the Reds are in a good position to battle for the Premier League and Champions League titles.
