# Real Madrid see offer rejected for Arsenal target Pavard

Real Madrid have seen an offer for Arsenal target Benjamin Pavard rejected by Stuttgart, according to claims from Sport Bild, as cited by [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11511001/european-paper-talk-real-madrid-bid-for-benjamin-pavard-rejected).

Pavard has emerged as a coveted figure among top European clubs following his impressive displays for France at the World Cup in Russia, with a host of outfits believed to have expressed an interest in signing him.

The Frenchman opted to stay put in Germany with Stuttgart following his success in international football’s most prestigious tournament, but the interest in his services certainly hasn’t cooled.

As per the report, Stuttgart remain determined to retain the services of their star man amid interest from some of Europe’s footballing heavyweights.

However, with Real Madrid allegedly keen to swoop for Pavard, it seems the Bundesliga club could struggle to keep hold of the right-back, with his stock continuing to rise.

Arsenal have been linked with Pavard in recent weeks, along with Manchester United. If the Gunners are to steal a march in the race for the versatile defender, it seems they’ll have to come up with a more lucrative proposal than Real’s.
