Cech out for three weeks with hamstring injury

Arsenal have been handed a major injury blow with Petr Cech now ruled out of action for over three weeks after picking up a hamstring injury today against Watford.

The Czech goalkeeper was substituted just before half time after going down with the knock, being replaced by Bernd Leno.

The German had a stellar game between the sticks for Arsenal, and picked up a clean sheet on his league debut for the club.

The Mirror are reporting that Cech will be out for over three weeks, meaning that the goalkeeper will miss the Europa League trip to Qarabag, and games in the league against Fulham and Leicester City.

Leno now looks likely to be handed an extended run between the sticks for Arsenal, after playing second fiddle to Cech at the start of his Arsenal career.

The German shot-stopper had complained about his lack of game time recently but vowed to keep working hard to get a shot at the number one shirt.
