Emery did not block Low from seeing Ozil

Arsenal boss Unai Emery did not block Germany manager Joachin Low from speaking to Mesut Ozil, despite reports claiming otherwise.

According to Sky Sports, Low was not banned from Arsenal’s training ground, and did go to speak to Bernd Leno and Shkodran Mustafi – who are also German internationals.

Reports earlier this week had claimed that Emery stopped Low from coming to Arsenal to clear the air with Ozil following his retirement from international football.

Ozil left his international career behind him earlier this year after he claimed that certain members of the German Football Federation were being “racist” towards him and his background.

The report claims that Ozil was not at the training ground when Low was there to speak to Leno and Mustafi.

After Ozil made his statement and retired, Low bemoaned his reasoning and claimed that there was no evidence of racism towards Ozi.
