When Sokratis Papastathopoulos was taken off during Arsenal’s win over Everton, plenty of fans were worried that he would miss a significant period of time.
However, according to a report from Giuseppe Muro of the Evening Standard, the Greek international only suffered a dead leg and should be fit to face Watford next weekend.
The 30-year-old will sit out of Wednesday’s EFL Cup clash against Brentford but he is expected to play when Arsenal face the Gunners on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal’s defence has still looked suspect at times this season, despite a recent upturn in results, and Unai Emery will be keen to have Sokratis available to face a Watford side who have performed very well during the opening stages of the campaign.
A much-changed side is expected to face Brentford on Wednesday evening as Emery looks to keep his players fresh for upcoming Premier League and Europa League clashes.
