Along with Southampton’s Mario Lemina, Aubameyang was allowed to leave the squad in order to return to London to prepare for the upcoming domestic game.
Arsenal host Newcastle at The Emirates on Saturday, with Aubameyang looking to build on his goal against Cardiff before the international break.
The forward has had a troubled start to the season, with only one goal in four Premier League appearances.
However, he did score for his country against Burundi at the weekend, in a 1-1 draw.
Aubameyang joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in January of this year and scored 10 goals in 13 league appearances in the second half of last season.
