# Arsenal target Pavard offered to Barcelona

Arsenal and Liverpool target Benjamin Pavard has reportedly been offered to Spanish champions Barcelona.

[Mundo Deportivo believes](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20180910/451728075657/pavard-stuttgart-ofrecido.html) that the player has been offered to the Catalan club with speculation about his future rising.

The versatile defender, who rose to prominence with several impressive performances during France’s World Cup-winning campaign, has been linked with the likes of Bayern Munich and Liverpool in recent weeks.

The report claims that a potential deal for Barcelona would set the club back a cool €35 million.

Pavard has been linked with a move to Arsenal for some time and is able to play both as a right-back or as a centre-back.

The right-back position has been a space that Barcelona have struggled to fill since the departure of Dani Alves.

Sergi Roberto has been used as a makeshift defender in recent years to some success but is naturally a midfielder, as Barcelona look to strengthen at the back.
