Arsenal legend David Seaman has been outlining the apparent problems in the team’s style of play so far this season.
Speaking to Goal, as cited in a report from the Daily Star, the former England goalkeeper has been explaining just where Unai Emery’s side have fallen short in the early periods of the campaign.
The Gunners are currently sat in mid-table after picking up six points from a possible 12 in the Premier League. Arsenal were beaten by Manchester City and Chelsea in the opening weekends before seeing off West Ham and Cardiff City prior to the international break.

Nevertheless, despite recent signs of improvement, Seaman has highlighted what he deems to be the stylistic shortcoming of Emery’s philosophy at the club right now.
It’s a big change, it’s a massive change for Arsenal. For the club firstly and for the team it’s different. We’ve got a sort of game plan that is trying to play it out from the back all the time, and it’s not quite working.
Petr Cech has notably struggled to adapt to Emery’s demand that he plays out from the back, making a collection of errors that have gone fortunately unpunished.
Seaman evidently feels that once these little errors are eradicated and Arsenal’s style is modified, they will be a force to be reckoned with once again.
